After the kids got home yesterday, we went up to Bloomfield for dental appointments. By the time they were done and hubby was ready to meet us, it was dinnertime, so we decided to eat in a little place down the street. Well, remember the pictures from the Mexican restaurant? Take a gander at this:

Looks like, umm . . .Peruvian girls in a marketplace? Yeah, or maybe Mexican. Guess what brand of restaurant?! Thai. Wait, it gets better. . .also in the restroom, a smidge to the right of this picture. . .

A DUTCH GIRL!!!! OMG! THEY’RE EVERYWHERE!!!

I’ve actually been giving some thought to picking up a few little Dutch boy and girl tchotchkes and bringing them with me when we eat out. Sneak one into every non-dutch restaurant’s restroom. If you see anything like this, email me a pic and details of where you found it, and I’ll put it up here.

Farkin’ Dog!

I’d been out a few times this week cleaning up after the dog, and was really wondering why there seemed to be so much less than usual.  Today I found out why – she’s been going where she’s not supposed to, and where I would have stepped in a ton of it if I’d gotten around to doing yardwork.  Grrr.  You think you’ve got her trained, but NOOOOO.

So I headed right out to the PetSmart and picked up some Repel II, which is a granular repellent that works really well.  It’ll keep its smell for quite some time, at least until it rains, which is better than the “apply every day” sprays.  Judy has quite a range when it comes to doing her business, so I’d be going through a bottle a day. 

She knows I’m mad at her. . .

Fish Heads!

I was just looking up old comedy tunes I remembered from Dr. Demento and elsewhere, and have discovered something that has filled me tonight with joy!

This is the video for “Fish Heads” by Barnes and Barnes, which I saw for the first and only time on Saturday Night Live. It’s been around for 25 years, and didn’t make it to youtube until March of this year. Enjoy!
