Let’s Talk About the Weather

New Jersey weather is typically unpredictable, almost, one might say, whimsical. Yesterday I was out in a t-shirt, sweating profusely as I got some yard work done in 75-degree temperatures. Today we have sleet and freezing rain. It’s miserable out there. We briefly lost power, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if it happens again, nor will it be a surprise if we have a few downed trees. So, for those of you who aren’t accustomed to NJ weather, this might seem really strange. It is to us Jerseyans, too, but mostly because this kind of weather usually waits until the second week in April. Heh.

I wonder if English-to-Japanese comes out as funny as Japanese-to-English sometimes. There’s definitely some significant culture differences. Audrey got these crackers as a snack, and we can’t quite figure out why these things are written on them, if they’re supposed to mean something or constitute some kind of game or puzzle, but they’re pretty darn funny.

Dave in Boxes

Dave in Boxes

This is apropos of nothing, but Dave likes to be in boxes, no matter how uncomfortable they might be. When he tried to squeeze into a Clementine box, we thought it would be funny to see if he’d sleep in two boxes at the same time. Here’s our answer:
